Congratulations! Today is your day.
You’re off to Great Places! You’re off and away!
You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You’re on your own.
And you know what you know. You are the guy who’ll decide where to go.
—Dr. Seuss, “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!”

A very good friend of mine once told me “If it’s meant to be, it is up to me”. Such a simple phrase with such a powerful message. Class of 2012 if it’s meant to be it is up to YOU! You are one step closer to fulfilling your dreams. High school is rough on your psyche but it gets better. High school education is sometimes  tough but your education is worth it so don’t stop there. Go to college get educated even more and you’ll be the better for it.

Your life goals can be attained but it is up to YOU! Don’t give up, don’t falter, work hard and when you feel like giving up work even harder you will not be disappointed with the outcome. “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!”

Great Examples of Stationery Packaging

Being in the business of product packaging is something we take serious and we love to see how our products are being used in the real world market. Most of our products do not standout in the market, such as poly bags and crystal clear bags, because they are just meant to protect and not be seen but our stationery boxes are a whole other matter.

We have very creative customers who put together some really beautiful and unique packaging for their stationery and gift products. We have selected a few of them and have showcased some of their work below.

Take a look, I’m sure you will agree with us.

Rifle Paper Co.

Rifle Paper Co. is a boutique stationery brand and design studio based in Winter Park, Florida created by Anna Bond together with her husband Nathan.

In the example to the left we see a very delicate and minimalist approach to packaging so as to focus on the cute Girlie Dog Set.

Anna also runs a very good and informative blog over at Rifle so you guys make sure and check it out as well as all the awesome stationery cards they offer.

FLYoung Studio

FLYoung Studio is run by Heather L. Young, a southern artist, who favors illustration, painting, murals, vintage fabric, rhinestones, and any project that allows her to use her dremel tool.

In the example to the left she is showcasing her beautiful Oak Tree cards in our eco friendly kraft boxes and wraps them in a chocolate satin bow. Very subtle and delicate design. Love the label on the back, great alternative to pricey custom printing.

Heather also runs a great blog with design ideas and insight into her process. Definitely check it out.

Paper Anniversary Co.

PAPER ANNIVERSARY CO. is a bespoke stationery and design studio headed-up by Sommer Stiles and based in Tampa, FL.  Our collection includes personalized stationery, cards, invitations, announcements, and paper goods.

Seems kraft is the new black as Sommer also uses our Kraft Boxes to showcase her beautiful creations. In the picture to the left Sommer keeps the design to a minimal choosing to wrap the boxes in a colored twine and adding a manila tag to identify. Yet another way to personalize and give it that personal touch.

Just so happens that Sommer also runs a really cool blog with insight into her process and shares tons of pictures. Check it out.

I hope to continue to share more great examples product packaging as I see them come through. in the mean time let us know what you think of these and please feel free to include links to your own work. Who knows you might be in our next showcase.

Congratulations Class of 2011 – Never Give Up!

In the last couple of weeks many kids that I tutored while volunteering at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Holyoke graduated from high school (Congratulations Guys!) and just like many other friends, moms, dads, aunts and uncles out there I am wondering how did this happen so fast? It feels like only yesterday I was helping them with their math and English homework.

Throughout childhood and on into high school life just seems to take longer it moves at a slow pace. Life gets busier after high school and seems to go at a more rapid pace and it only gets faster once you get to the work force. I should know I graduated in 1995 and I can’t believe it’s already 2011 my 20 year reunion hastily approaching.

To the proud members of the class of 2011 I say enjoy it. Take your time don’t be in such a rush to grow up. There is plenty of time for that.  I wish them congratulations, success and happiness. Also, I wish them patience because from here on out, life will move faster and get fuller and more responsibilities will fill up every corner of time. So when there’s something or someone that requires a wait, be patient with great expectation that there is a reward at the end. When you finally get what you were waiting for, it will be so much more precious.
